Wouldn’t it be great if you could just have a little peek over the fence to see how other organisations work? Wilma van Riel, Clinical Trials Quality Assurance Manager in MDS, is doing just that through her Universitas 21 Fellowship. She is currently visiting the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, to learn more about how clinical research is managed and governed in UBC and its affiliated organisations.
Wilma told us, “It is exciting to meet with so many different experts in the field, to hear of their activities and exchange best practices. Already I have learnt so much, and I have taken away plenty of ideas to explore further.”
Wilma has been invited to give a presentation to Canada’s quarterly clinical research network of networks (N2) stakeholders meeting, and a guest lecture for Clinical Research Professionals in British Columbia latter this month. Both events will give unique opportunities to connect with an even larger group of clinical researchers.
