Cancer Immunology Project Award (new call)  CRUK

 These awards aim to catalyze research and build the UK’s research base in cancer immunology by funding immunologists in non-cancer fields.

Up to £300k is offered for up to 3 years in the area of immunology.

The awards are suitable for established independent researchers and clinicians.

Final submission: 16 November 2014

Committee review: April 2015 (final funding decision 6 – 8 weeks later)

Lead applicants should not have a demonstrated track record in cancer research and other considerations apply. 

To assess suitability email a one-page summary of your proposal, list of potential collaborators and CV to Dr. Gemma Balmer ( telephone 020 3469 6125.  Applications are made through an electronic Grants Management System and Dr. Balmer should be contacted for access to the e-application form.  Ideally, contact should be made at least 2 months before the submission date.

The successful award would address key questions in the immunology of cancer.  Applications can be in any area of immunological research, providing the cancer relevance is clearly articulated in the proposal.  Funding support can be provided for salaries for researchers and technical staff, running expenses and equipment.
