CRUK have announced a new funding opportunity in partnership with Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) – the SU2C-CRUK Translational Research Fellowship. The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is now accepting applications from exceptional post-doctoral (clinical and non-clinical) researchers who are focused on accelerating progress in translational research. This transatlantic scheme will provide up to four years’ support to UK- and US-based researchers.
The fellowships are aimed at new postdocs as the eligibility requires less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience.
- the fellowships must be carried out in two phases, one in the UK and one in the US and will support researchers that have innovative approaches in translational cancer research, which have the potential of delivering patient benefit
- applications are welcomed from clinical and non-clinical postdoctoral researchers
- applicants should have shown promise in becoming future leaders in their field and should aspire to setting up own research group
- applicants must have completed their PhD and/or medical degree and have less than a total of 2 years’ postdoctoral or clinical research experience
