Why are scientific careers failing to recruit and retain women?
Professor of Public Engagement in Science, Alice Roberts, introduces a talk and discussion on the subject of ‘Women in Science’, a subject that she recently spoke about at the Young Woman Engineer of the Year awards, 2013, and more recently, on Newsnight.
Less than 20% of professors in science and engineering are women; Alice asks why this is and how we can address it. The talk is free to attend but registration is essential.
