To celebrate the launch of the new Birmingham Centre for Human Virology, all are welcome to attend a discussion forum for identifying trends and developments in human virology. This is a two day event which will take place on Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th April 2014 in the Elgar Lecture Theatre, Bramall Music Building.

This event aims to bring together internationally recognised experts in the field of virus disease diagnosis, pathogenesis and prevention to discuss current trends and future directions for virus research over the next decade.  There will also be an exciting opportunity to meet the professors.

Invited speakers include Jeffrey Almond (France), Ulrich Desselberger (Cambridge), Paul Griffiths (London), Robert Lamb (USA), Stephen Locarnini (Australia), Mark Marsh (London),Massimo Palmarini (Glasgow), Alan Rickinson (Birmingham) and Robin Weiss (London).
